“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
Ergo, I write.
Or going snorkeling off a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Okay, technically it wasn’t the middle, but the water was really, really deep. And generally I’m not a fan of scenarios that find me in deep water. But I gathered up my courage, geared up, and got off the boat. And into the water. I stuck my face in, spotted a fish, and got the hell back on the boat. The whole experience lasted a whole five minutes. But, hey, I did it.
Yay, me!
Happy Hump Day!
LMAO!! Too funny, Karyn – I can see you jumping in, then jumping out! We sailed of the Florida Keys one summer and it took me a long time getting used to being in the deep, deep water – and taming my wild imaginings of sharks, manatees, and other not-so-nice fishies! But it was so freakin’ hot, we had to swim!
At least you did it – you can check that off the bucket list 😉
Hey, Janet! I was so proud of myself. I’m not exactly what you’d call adventurous. And, yes, I’ve crossed that off my bucket list. From now on I can stay on the boat and relax!
Hey, five minutes of facing something you’re uncomfortable with is a lot better than most people can do. Heck, I don’t think I can do two minutes in a room with a grasshopper. Good for you. =o)
And lady, you can so write, so you need to stop thinking you can’t. :hugs:
Thanks for the kind words, B.E.! Don’t even get me started on grasshoppers! The ban of my childhood existence. I out weigh them, I outsmart them, and yet they terrify me.
