Everything melted,
rained, unraveled,
became, grew wings,
attempted flight,
flopped, tried again,
succeeded.
Just another day.

As I wait for spring…
We leave Maui on Sunday and I’m afraid to go home! I know it snowed a bunch just after we left. Is it starting to feel even a little bit like spring on the prairies yet?
Your poem reminds me of the song “Spring on the Prairies” by Connie Kalder:
‘Spring on the prairies comes as a surprise,
One minute there’s snow on the ground
The next there’s sun in your eyes.’
Let’s hope spring surprises us real soon!

The sun is indeed shining and it’s above zero here today, Jana. There’s hope! Oh, I love Connie Kalder but haven’t listened to her in so long. I’ll have to hunt down her CD. Enjoy your last days in Maui!
